The Dry Blending Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining blending equipment to ensure the accurate mixing of dry ingredients according to production specifications.
Direct hire Full-time On-site Avenel, NJ 22 to 25 USD per hour
Responsibilities:
Operate blender according to standard operating procedures, including start-up, speed/time adjustment, shutdown, and cleaning of dust control systems.
Safely load blenders with pre-weighed pallets in the correct sequence.
Transfer product from Supersacks into stainless steel totes in a safe manner.
Operate packaging line equipment following standard procedures, including the Sifter, screw conveyor, bag fill, and heat-sealing equipment.
Load totes of blended powders into place to supply the sifter.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work area.
Complete assigned master sanitation (MSS) tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
Perform daily scales weight verification and metal detector verifications, documenting findings.
Adhere to food safety, food security, Quality, GMP's, HAACP, Allergen/Sensitizer, and other regulatory requirements.
Properly label all weighed materials/pallets and partial containers returned to stock locations.
Maintain accurate records of production activities.
Work proficiently with metric measurements (grams, kilograms) and convert weight measurements between lbs and kilograms.
Follow company and departmental policies and instructions from management.
Assist in production tasks and perform other related duties as assigned.
Perform sanitation and general housekeeping duties as assigned, documenting cleaning and sanitation on the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS).
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a dry blending operator or similar role.
Must be forklift/ electric pallet walkie Certified.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to standard operating procedures.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
Basic math skills and proficiency in weight measurements.
Willingness to work in a team environment and take direction from supervisors.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and GMP's preferred.
