Chemical Packer/Material Handler:
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
This positions purpose is to compound and/or package various types of products related to the flavor and fragrance industry.
Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
Maintain timely attendance Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures Adhere to workplace safety guidelines and utilize proper PPE Utilize appropriate tools and equipment to accomplish tasks Maintain forklift certification and safely operate a forklift to four pallet racks high and in a general warehousing and production environment Consider possibilities for process improvements Maintain a high level of quality in finished products Take initiative in day to day tasks including starting the next without delay Follow written formulas Keep production and warehouses neat and orderly Maintain inventory by location to save time Handle various types of liquid and solid raw materials including various chemicals and essential oils Package finished goods Perform sanitation duties including tank cleaning Assist with shipping/ receiving and/ or maintenance as needed Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with co-workers Basic computer proficiency (MS Office) Attend initial and/ or annual classes including Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety, Biosecurity, Hazard Communication, etc.
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude Have the ability to work independently or collectively to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices Must be able to listen to, comprehend and carry out instructions Must be able to work well with others in production, shipping and quality control to accomplish tasks and navigate the work day efficientlyPhysical Requirements:
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards Demonstrate the willingness to work overtime as required by the business Maintain a professional appearance and good hygiene Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs Must be able to ascend and descend a ladderAbout the Company:
