Qualifications for Diesel Mechanic
To join our team, you must be a qualified and skilled technician with a trade school certification and/or 3
years of related diesel experience and a commercial driver's license. ASE certification is preferred. The ability to pass DOT, physical examination, drug, and alcohol screenings is essential. CDL A preferred but not required (call for details)
Minimum of 3 years in a shop running activities and making key decisions
High school diploma or GED
Ability to read, write and speak English, and make presentations to small groups of customers and team members
Basic math skills
The ability to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 75 pounds
Qualifications for Foremen
Plans and distributes the work
Delegates responsibilities as appropriate and monitors performance
Repair all company equipment utilizing safe and cost effective means
Supervision of technician staff
Diagnose problems to repair and rebuild equipment
Perform state inspections and routine vehicle maintenance, transport equipment, and provide road service
Additional responsibilities include ordering and picking up parts, preparing shop work orders, and assistance with clean-up
