Incoming Inspection

Position Overview:
Responsible for inspecting all incoming products and materials to assure conformance with drawings.
Inspect incoming production material in conformance with technical drawings or spec sheets.
Report all non-conforming production material.
Record inspection history of material onto the QIP sheet.
Update and maintain production material filing system.
Transfer accepted production material from Inspection to Inventory.
Access ERP program for material identification.
Interpret purchase orders.
Interact with engineering and production.
Other duties as assigned.
Basic Requirements:
High school graduate
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to use mechanical and electronic measuring devices.
Computer Literacy
The ability to read technical drawings
Must have the ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds
Accept and/or reject incoming components.
Removal of non-conforming components from production.
Request corrective and preventive actions.
4. Submit non-conformance reports
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, reach with arms and hands, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 lbs.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time and an air-conditioned and heated office. The noise level is occasionally high.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
